Bruins take on Senators in Ottawa
"Marat Khusnutdinov, who hasn't played since his costly third period turnover in the B's 3-2 loss in Utah on October 19, will draw back into the lineup and John Beecher will come out. Jeffrey Viel remains a healthy scratch. "(Khusnutdinov) is a speedy guy, that's why he's in the lineup," Sturm told reporters in the Canadian capital. "We want to use him on the forecheck, we want to use him anywhere all over the ice. It's another good skating team we are going to play against.""
"After Hampus Lindholm was put on IR on Sunday, the B's brought up Jonathan Aspirot from Providence but he is not expected to get in the lineup on Monday. Lindholm's designation to IR does not necessarily mean he's out long term. It is retroactive to October 9 so he could conceivably be activated as soon as Tuesday's game against the Islanders. But the team, which has termed the lower body injury "minor," is still not sure when he's going to return."
The Bruins aim to begin a win streak in Ottawa after upsetting the Colorado Avalanche. Coach Marco Sturm continues to rotate the bottom-six forwards, bringing Marat Khusnutdinov back into the lineup for John Beecher while Jeffrey Viel remains a healthy scratch. Khusnutdinov will skate with Sean Kuraly and Mark Kastelic and is expected to provide speed and forechecking. Hampus Lindholm was placed on injured reserve retroactive to October 9; Jonathan Aspirot was recalled from Providence but is not expected to play. Jeremy Swayman gets the start. The Senators are 4-4-2 and winners of two straight.
