Most bookings remain concentrated in coastal, mountain, historical and large metropolitan tourist destinations. Most offerings are in primary or secondary residences or vacant properties. The average Airbnb host earned €3,800 annually in 2024. Local authorities are increasingly seeking restrictions on short-term holiday rentals.
