He has returned to full fitness but has not yet made an appearance since recovery, with Federico Valverde preferred at right-back. Neither player nor club are considering an exit, and Dani Carvajal's knee surgery could create more opportunities for Alexander-Arnold to earn a regular place under Xabi Alonso.
