Five leaders — Senator Robert Black, Dr. Helen Fisher, Scott Graham, Percy Hodgetts and Brian O'Connor — will be inducted into the Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame in 2026 at a June 14 ceremony. The nominees represent a diverse cross-section of agriculture, including a senator, pioneering researchers and influential farm leaders who advanced national policy, viticulture, genetics and industry governance. Senator Robert Black dedicated more than 40 years to Ontario and Canadian agriculture, chaired the Senate agriculture committee, led the Food Day in Canada act, and directed the soil-health study 'Critical Ground' that informs national soil conservation policy. He also led youth development through 4-H Ontario, the Rural Ontario Institute and AALP.
