Apple sues YouTuber who leaked iOS 26's new "Liquid Glass" software redesign
Briefly

Defendants allegedly conspired to breach Apple's confidentiality by accessing trade secrets through an employee's work iPhone. Apple claims misconduct occurred after Mr. Prosser learned of Mr. Ramacciotti's financial need and collaborated with him and Ethan Lipnik, an Apple employee. Evidence includes an audio message and an unnamed whistleblower email linking Lipnik to the information leaks. Lipnik was terminated for failing to uphold Apple's confidentiality protocols. Prosser disputes Apple's narrative, asserting that he did not conspire to access the device. Apple is seeking legal remedies and aims to prevent further unlawful conduct by the defendants.
Defendants' misconduct was brazen and egregious. After Mr. Prosser learned that Mr. Ramacciotti needed money, and that his friend Ethan Lipnik worked at Apple on unreleased software designs, Defendants jointly planned to access Apple's confidential and trade secret information through Mr. Lipnik's Apple-owned development iPhone.
According to the filing, Lipnik has been fired from Apple for failing to follow Apple's policies designed to protect its confidential information, including development devices and unreleased software and features.
For his part, Prosser claims that Apple's timeline of events is incorrect. 'This is not how the situation played out on my end,' Prosser posted to social media late yesterday.
Apple's suit is seeking damages from Prosser and Ramacciotti, and it wants to protect its trade secrets and prevent Messrs. Ramacciotti and Prosser from continuing to act unlawfully.
