The Prompting Company raised $6.5 million to help businesses appear in AI search results on platforms like ChatGPT. The company, four months old and part of Summer 2025 Y Combinator, creates AI-facing websites distinct from human-facing sites. AI-facing sites provide a directory structure LLMs can use to select specific pages rather than crawling entire sites. These LLM-facing domains are autonomous and update automatically based on changing prompt patterns from LLMs. Generative engine optimization (GEO) is emerging as a priority for brands aiming to remain discoverable as search shifts toward conversational AI interfaces.
