A State of Generation survey polled 300 developers and creators during Q3 2025 to measure personal and enterprise use of AI-powered image and video creation. Google Gemini is the most-used image generator at 74% overall, with 77% personal and 68% enterprise adoption. OpenAI's GPT Image records 64% usage and Black Forest Labs' Flux 37%. Google's Veo leads AI video use at 67% personal and 72% enterprise. Users cite Gemini's integration with Gmail and Google Docs and its multimodal capabilities as reasons for preference. Google DeepMind's free "nano banana" model release within Gemini likely boosted adoption. The data predates OpenAI Sora 2 and the OpenAI Video API releases.
