The Toronto World Series generated a citywide buzz that translated into stronger attendance and sales at Art Toronto. Proximity of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to the Rogers Centre made it easy for visitors to drop by, boosting daytime footfall. Sales in the C$50,000–C$100,000 range rose compared with previous years. Scalped World Series tickets reached as high as C$12,000 while fair admission began at about C$40. A participating gallery described the uplifted mood as collective effervescence and linked that positive atmosphere to increased art buying during the fair weekend.
