The Dyname-S4 Lite is the smaller drive unit used on the Instinct Powerplay SL, a lighter e-bike variant with a smaller motor and a 480Wh battery. The original Dyname-S4 Lite weighed 2.26kg and delivered 65Nm of torque and 550W peak power. A firmware update increases peak power to 700W and torque to 75Nm, a 27% power gain that brings SL performance closer to full-power models while retaining SL weight advantages. The update is available exclusively through authorized Rocky Mountain dealers starting September 12.
