"If you've been looking for a hitch bike rack to carry your heavy e-bike, including long-tail cargo bikes and adventure fat bikes, the new Thule Vero is it. While the recently introduced Thule Verse is rated up to 60 lbs per tray, the new Vero steps that up slightly to 80 lbs per tray. It also adds other features to better stabilize bigger, heavier bikes, plus offers a removable ramp to help you roll those bikes onto the trays."
"It features three attachment points - one for each wheel, and one upright for the frame. In Europe, three points of contact are standard (and legally required), but for U.S. riders, we're more familiar with the single strap for the rear tire plus a front tire hook. Or maybe a loop over each wheel. So, the Vero's design will technically be EU legal, but it's intended only for the US market thanks to its standard 2″ hitch mount stinger."
Thule Vero is a hitch-mounted bike rack built to carry heavy e-bikes, long-tail cargo bikes, and adventure fat bikes with an 80 lb per-tray capacity. The rack provides three attachment points—one per wheel and an upright frame support—and includes a removable ramp to ease rolling bikes onto the trays. The unit uses a standard 2″ hitch mount stinger for the US market while meeting European three-point contact practice. A telescoping arm accommodates varied frames and can grasp the top of the rear tire to avoid frame contact. The strap features a keyed lock; the rack pivots, uses a lockable wedge ratchet for wobble-free performance, and has removable wheels for easy garage rolling. Availability is January 2026; MSRP TBA.
