A ceasefire in Gaza has coincided with continued Israeli violence that killed hundreds of Palestinians in weeks, including mass killings and obstruction of agreed aid, reconstruction materials and medical evacuations. Violence in the occupied West Bank has continued, with more than 1,000 Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023, including many children. Street protests worldwide have failed to change Western policy. European labour unions, leveraging trade links and port logistics, can directly challenge governmental support for Israel by organising targeted industrial action.
