Ice-Pick Lodge reveals Pathologic 3, a reimagining of the 2005 classic, showcasing protagonist Daniil Dankovsky's quest against a supernatural plague in an 1800s Russian village. Unlike its predecessor, this installment emphasizes time manipulation, allowing players to experience time jumps as a core mechanic. This feature permits players to rewind events but at the cost of a unique resource called Amalgam, which can only be acquired through specific in-game actions. Players will navigate complex interactions with the town's inhabitants, aiming to save as many lives as possible before the 12-day deadline.
"Time jumps and temporal experimentation are the game's core mechanic and the defining twist of Pathologic 3," Ice-Pick Lodge said in a recent press release.
"Players must spend a rare resource known as Amalgam to rewind time and try again, obtained by completing critical quests and other actions."
