Watch: Wellesley mother who allegedly killed her children appears in Mass. court on murder charges
"MacAusland allegedly admitted to her aunt that she had killed her children and tried to take her own life, adding, 'I wanted the [three] of us to go to God together but it didn't work.'"
"Norfolk County prosecutors have said little about what allegedly occurred inside the family's home on Edgemoor Avenue, and a Dedham District Court judge has impounded the Massachusetts State Police report on the killings for six months."
Janette MacAusland, 49, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children, Ella and Kai. She was arrested in Vermont after appearing distraught and with a neck wound. MacAusland allegedly confessed to her aunt about the killings and attempted suicide. Police found the children dead in their home in Massachusetts. MacAusland waived her extradition rights to return to Massachusetts to face charges. The case is under investigation, with limited information released by prosecutors.
