Bruins notebook: Hampus Lindholm activates, Mason Lohrei scratched
"And there were two of them. First, Hampus Lindholm was activated off injured reserve and inserted in the lineup for the first time since Oct. 18, seeing just his fourth game of the season as he's battled a lower body injury. Getting the healthy scratch treatment was Mason Lohrei, who has had his struggles this season while playing primarily with Charlie McAvoy. The 26-year-old Jonathan Aspirot was to make his NHL debut."
"Lohrei has been paired with McAvoy from the start of training camp and the pairing has had its issues. On Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche, the tandem was broken up, as Nikita Zadorov went up to play with McAvoy and Lohrei was paired with Andrew Peeke. Lohrei responded with his best game of the year, assisting on all three Bruin goals in the 3-2 win over the Avs."
Hampus Lindholm returned from injured reserve and rejoined the Bruins' lineup for his fourth game after a lower-body injury. Mason Lohrei was made a healthy scratch following recent mistakes while primarily paired with Charlie McAvoy. Jonathan Aspirot, 26, was given his NHL debut. Lohrei showed a strong performance when paired with Andrew Peeke, assisting on all three goals in a 3-2 win over Colorado. The McAvoy-Lohrei pairing faltered in Ottawa when both defensemen were caught below the goal line, resulting in a third goal. Nikita Zadorov took a penalty to start the third period, and the opposing power-play goal initiated a rout.
