"It's just kind of looking ourselves in the mirror, I think. It's been an issue all year."
"I'm going to share that tomorrow to my guys - to just try to stay focused as quickly as we can, because we play a really good hockey team over there,"
"And also, we need the points. So we want to enjoy the moment. But also - we are here to get two points."
"That hurts. It hurts a lot. The way that we lost it is just brutal, spending half the game in the penalty box."
Boston faced the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stadium Series at Raymond James Stadium before over 64,000 fans. Boston rode an 11-2-1 January surge while Tampa Bay entered with a 16-1-1 run in their last 18 games. Boston built a 5-1 lead by mid-second period but ultimately lost 6-5 in a shootout. The Bruins spent a large portion of the game shorthanded due to repeated penalties, including a stretch of consecutive power-play opportunities for Tampa Bay. The penalties and officiating decisions shifted momentum and contributed to Boston's late collapse despite the early advantage.
