The family was in a car driven by Atulkumar Patel when a pickup truck, allegedly driven by a drunk driver, struck them. The son, aged 14, remains hospitalized. The pickup driver, James Blanchard, faces serious charges, including motor vehicle homicide. Officials express condolences and highlight the tragic impact on the family.
"The Norfolk District Attorney's Office and the Franklin Police Department are saddened by the loss to Minaben's family and we extend our heartfelt condolences," said District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey.
"The driver of the pickup truck, James Blanchard, 21, of Franklin, is facing multiple drunk driving charges in the crash," police reported.
