In-N-Out owner Lynsi Snyder addresses 'In-N-Outta California' backlash
Briefly

In-N-Out is expanding into Tennessee while maintaining its headquarters in Baldwin Park, California. Owner Lynsi Snyder reiterated the commitment to California in response to backlash over rumors of relocation. The chain plans to build an Eastern Territory office in Franklin, Tennessee, while keeping its locations in California. Snyder emphasized the challenges of raising a family and doing business in California. In-N-Out will relocate from Irvine by 2029 or 2030, allowing staff time to decide on their future.
"We're not moving In-N-Out's headquarters," she said in a three-minute audio message on Instagram and Facebook, referring to the chain's offices in Baldwin Park, where it was founded in 1948.
"We're not leaving California or leaving our roots behind," Snyder said on the later audio message. "Each one of our locations is here to stay."
"There's a lot of really great things about California, but raising a family is not easy here. Doing business is not easy here," Snyder said in the podcast.
Snyder said she wanted to give staff members ample time to make decisions about relocation.
