Temperatures are anticipated to reach the 90s in many inland locations. An Extreme Heat Watch and Warning will affect large areas, particularly in the Central Valley and in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. Red Flag Warnings indicate high fire hazards due to lightning potential. While coastal areas remain cooler, inland locations will see significant heat, with temperatures expected to cool by the weekend.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties due to conditions ideal for wildfire growth from possible lightning strikes.
While San Francisco may reach a high of 78 on Thursday, other parts of the Bay Area are expected to experience much higher temperatures, such as 107 in Concord.
Temperatures are forecast to cool down by Friday and significantly lower by Saturday, with highs in San Francisco expected around 70.
