The 2027 Lexus TZ Is A Three-Row EV SUV With 300 Miles Of Range
"The longest-range version can drive an estimated 300 miles, powered by a 95.8-kilowatt-hour battery. That's the same long-range battery as in the Toyota Highlander, and, just like the Highlander, there's also a smaller, 77 kWh pack available."
"Unlike the Highlander, which can be had with a single, front-mounted electric motor, the 2027 Lexus TZ comes exclusively with dual-motor all-wheel drive. Irrespective of the battery capacity, the electric SUV offers a maximum system output of 402 horsepower (300 kilowatts), 64 hp more than the all-wheel drive Highlander."
"Lexus says the dual-motor setup can dynamically shift torque between the front and rear axles, depending on the driving conditions. During acceleration, torque ratios adjust from 60:40 (front:rear) to 0:100. During hard cornering, the ratios can go from 80:20 (front:rear) to 0:100, effectively making the SUV rear-wheel drive for short bursts."
"The 2027 Lexus TZ comes with a native NACS charge port, allowing owners to use Tesla Superchargers and other NACS-equipped DC fast chargers without an adapter."
The 2027 Lexus TZ is Lexus's first electric three-row SUV, built on the same TNGA platform as the Toyota Highlander. It offers two battery options: a 95.8-kWh pack providing up to 300 miles of range and a smaller 77-kWh option. Unlike the Highlander, the TZ exclusively features dual-motor all-wheel drive with 402 horsepower and dynamic torque distribution between front and rear axles. Standard 20-inch wheels are available with optional 22-inch upgrades. The vehicle features a distinctive Lexus spindle grille, blacked-out C-pillar, crisp design lines, and a full-width LED rear lightbar. It includes a native NACS charge port for Tesla Supercharger compatibility.
