Jaden Umeh, an 18-year-old attacker from Benfica, is included in the Republic of Ireland squad for the first time for a friendly against Grenada. He is one of nine uncapped players selected by head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson. The squad mainly consists of players from the Championship and League One, with some players from other leagues expected to join for later matches. Hallgrimsson expressed excitement about Umeh's potential and the opportunity to assess new players during the training camp.
