The NHL announced three finalists for the Calder Memorial Trophy: Matthew Schaefer, Ivan Demidov, and Beckett Sennecke. Schaefer, the first overall pick in 2025, led all rookies in goals with 23 and recorded 59 points. Demidov, the fifth overall pick in 2024, led rookies with 62 points and 43 assists. Sennecke, the third overall pick in 2024, tied for the rookie lead in goals and ranked second in points with 60. Each player has a chance to make history with the award.
