Jaden Fauske, a 6-foot-3 left-handed hitting outfielder, was selected as the No. 44 overall pick in the second round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. Growing up as a White Sox fan in Willowbrook, Illinois, Fauske described being drafted by his favorite team as a dream come true. The White Sox's amateur scouting director Mike Shirley expressed excitement about Fauske's talent. Fauske's family, especially his father and brother, played significant roles in fostering his love for the team. He has fond memories of attending games and even serving as a bat boy during practices.
"Our research and development department, along with [director of hitting] Ryan Fuller, they were super excited about Jaden as this thing began," director of amateur scouting Mike Shirley said.
Jaden, who has frequently attended games, had an opportunity to be the bat boy during White Sox batting practice when he was around 10 or 11 years old.
As a local kid, Jaden embodies what the White Sox believe in, as they aim to support athletes from their city.
To see that materialize," Fauske said. "It means everything.
