An ice-cold martini can embody summer. This recipe features an infusion of extra-virgin olive oil into vodka, creating a distinctive flavor. To prepare, combine vodka and olive oil in a blender, then freeze overnight for infusion. Afterward, separate the oil and store the infused vodka. To make the drink, mix the infused vodka with vanilla syrup, double cream, and saline solution. Shake well and serve in a chilled glass, finishing with a drop of olive oil on top.
To build the drink, measure all the liquids into a shaker and fill with ice. Seal and shake until the shaker is coated in frost.
Put the vodka and oil in a blender, blitz to combine, then pour into a wide plastic container, seal and freeze overnight to infuse.
