The U.S. House of Representatives has partnered with Puerto Rico's Panorama Farm, allowing the farm's coffee to be sold in Capitol Hill's Longworth House Office Building Gift Shop. Founded by Angelique Sina in 2021, Panorama Farm's net profits support youth entrepreneurship and education programs in Puerto Rico. Sina emphasizes coffee's story reflects Puerto Rico's resilience and innovation. Despite low coffee production in Puerto Rico, particularly after Hurricane Maria, Panorama Farm aims to elevate local farmers and promote sustainable agricultural practices through its flagship brand, Cafe Ama Love.
"From Las Marías, Puerto Rico, to Capitol Hill, this coffee carries the story of Puerto Rico's talent, resilience and innovation," said Angelique Sina. "We're building a movement - one that breaks dependency and proves that nonprofits can operate with the discipline of business and the soul of community."
"This coffee - grown, roasted and made in Puerto Rico - is now being served in Congress," Sina said. "It's a powerful reminder that products made in America, especially from places like Puerto Rico, deserve a place in our national economy and in the conversations that shape its future."
