An experience center at the Viking Fortress Borgring revives the Viking Age through architecture inspired by longhouses and royal halls. The design integrates the surrounding landscape to animate historical narratives and spatial experiences. LOOP Architects led the design with LYTT Architecture and engineering firm VIGGO MADSEN as sub-consultants. The center interprets characteristic Viking building typologies while providing contemporary visitor facilities, supporting interpretive exhibitions, circulation, and shelter consistent with historical forms. Collaborative consultancy enabled integration of architectural concept with structural and technical systems to enhance public engagement with the fortress and its landscape.
