HisBrickMaterials has created a detailed LEGO model of a rotary phone, reflecting nostalgia for an era when landline phones dominated homes. This model, inspired by a 1930s Danish telephone, features intricate details like a functional dial and liftable receiver. The project pays tribute to historical communication methods and materials like Bakelite, which was commonly used in household devices. The designer aims to enhance the model with a spring mechanism for the dial, merging creativity with function.
Designer HisBrickMaterials said, "We were always meant to express ourselves, from cave paintings to hieroglyphics, from poetry to songs and letters. Imagine being able to communicate without borders, without boundaries."
The MOC creation by HisBrickMaterials is an ode to the rotary phone he saw in his grandparents' house, inspired by a 1930s telephone from Denmark.
