Samsung has announced a new policy stating that accounts inactive for two years will be deemed 'inactive' and subject to deletion starting July 31st. Users are encouraged to sign in to maintain their accounts, as deleted accounts will lose all linked data and will not be recoverable. Exceptions exist for family accounts and those with reward points. Users can avoid deletion by engaging with their account through simple activities like logging in or using services within the two-year period. It's crucial to remain active to avoid losing essential data connected to Samsung services.
If an account is deleted, access to the account will be restricted and all data linked to the account will be deleted.
The new inactive account policy makes exceptions for registered family accounts, accounts with a record of accumulating/using reward points.
