EE has launched Stream Mode as part of its Wi-Fi Enhancer service to enhance user experience by prioritizing streaming applications for uninterrupted entertainment. This mode includes specific settings for gamers and remote workers, namely Game Mode and Work Mode, which prioritize gaming consoles and video calls, respectively. The rise in reliance on Wi-Fi for multiple purposes, including work and education, has prompted advancements in home network technologies. This includes developments like network slicing and solutions to improve self-installation, addressing the key issue of consumer education in achieving better coverage.
"Whether its binge-watching boxsets or watching live sport, Stream Mode puts streaming apps in the fast lane, so customers can enjoy uninterrupted entertainment, even when the whole household is online," EE Director of Product, Home & TV Luciano Oliveira said in a press release.
The new EE Stream Mode includes Game Mode and Work Mode settings. Game Mode prioritizes consoles and gaming apps. Work Mode prioritizes video calls and collaborative tools for those who work at home.
