Nintendo will stop selling Switch Game Vouchers in 2026
Briefly

Nintendo is ending its Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers offer early next year, with online members allowed to redeem until January 30, 2026. Game Vouchers are sold in pairs for $100 and can be exchanged for various first-party games in the eShop. This program has been a key way to obtain Nintendo titles at discounted rates, particularly due to the company's infrequent price reductions on its games. Although the discontinuation is confirmed, new titles will still be added to the voucher catalogue throughout 2026.
The Game Voucher program is a great way to save on Nintendo's first-party line-up. Sold in pairs, for $100 players can receive two Vouchers redeemable in the Nintendo eShop for a myriad of games.
Nintendo is notorious for rarely lowering the price of its first-party titles, and when it does put games on sale, those discounts aren't as steep as one might expect.
Nintendo of Europe announced the discontinuation of the Vouchers on Thursday, but did note "Switch titles will continue to be added to the Game Voucher catalogue throughout 2026."
This comes after the news earlier this year that Game Vouchers wouldn't be usable for Nintendo Switch 2 titles.
