"We're looking at the entire footprint and ensuring that we are prepared to deliver customers really flexibly any way they want,"
"We are going to make more and more items faster for our customers,"
"Three-day will turn into two-day, two-day into next-day, next-day into the same-day, same-day into sub-same-day. And more and more items will be offered at ultra-fast speeds in minutes. So that's incredibly exciting."
Walmart recorded a fastest delivery time this year of under five minutes and routinely delivers orders to shoppers in less than 30 minutes. One-third of ship-from-store orders are fulfilled in three hours or less, and one-fifth of those reach customers within 30 minutes, equating to roughly one in fifteen store-fulfilled orders arriving in under 30 minutes. Walmart operates about 4,700 stores and distribution assets across the US, forming a forward-deployed fulfillment network that accelerates delivery. Investments aim to compress multi-day shipping windows into same-day and sub-same-day delivery for an increasing number of items.
