After England's lackluster 1-0 victory against Andorra, coach Thomas Tuchel expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's attitude, particularly in the closing stages of the match. Despite securing a third consecutive win in World Cup Qualifying Group K, England failed to exert control against a weaker opponent. Tuchel noted that the team's performance declined after a promising start, and he was particularly concerned about the lack of urgency shown in the final 20 minutes of the game. Team captain Harry Kane echoed these sentiments, acknowledging the need for improvement ahead of an upcoming friendly match against Senegal.
I am not happy with the performance. We started well but lost momentum and our urgency didn't match the occasion. We’ll let them know what we want from them.
It's not one that many will remember. We had good spells but we take the three points and move on. We need to be better for sure.
