
About 10,000 customers were without electricity statewide due to widespread outages in Perth and surrounding areas, with Western Power expecting most restorations by mid-afternoon. Police search efforts ended when an 11-year-old autistic, nonverbal boy was found safe after nearly eight hours missing in Perth’s western suburbs, with police and State Emergency Service volunteers searching on foot and horseback.
