"It's the first time in my life that I've played against Barça in another shirt."
"He's a warm person, he cares about me and he was asking me about the injury I had. He asked me if I was happy at Elche and I appreciate his interest."
"I don't see Lamine like everyone else. I see him as my friend. We've been together for many years, we've shared a lot, and I was excited to face him. I don't think I did too badly. I caught him a bit tired. It always helps to have the extra motivation of playing in front of my fans and my former teammates, but it's a shame about the result."
Inaki Peña and Hector Fort, both products of La Masia, started and featured for Elche against Barcelona, appearing against their boyhood club for the first time. Peña began in goal while Fort came off the bench in the second half. Barcelona won 3-1, but both players experienced strong nostalgia and mutual respect during and after the match. Fort described a warm exchange with coach Hansi Flick, who showed concern about his injury and happiness at Elche. Fort also enjoyed facing close friend Lamine Yamal and felt motivated by fans and former teammates.
