At NYFW, Tanner Fletcher Sent Lampshades Down the Runway
"At Tanner Fletcher's spring 2026 show this afternoon, a skirted sofa took center stage before models in overalls and lace-trimmed polos traipsed down the runway. Among all the dramatic bows and ruffles, several pieces of matching decor appeared as well: Ruffled gingham lampshades, hand-painted candles in vintage pewter settings, and embroidered coasters shaped like vintage serving trays populated the set."
"When the duo behind Tanner Fletcher-creative and romantic partners Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell-developed their first collection of clothing in spring/summer 2022, interiors were part of their DNA even then, inspiring the vintage-style fabrics and cottagecore-like ruffles that adorn their garments worn by celebrities like Kacey Musgraves, Bad Bunny, Alan Cumming, and Troye Sivan."
""We're always looking towards '30s and '40s interiors in order to inform the clothes-the ruffles on the cuffs were inspired by kitchen cabinets we saw, when they used to attach lace trim to the shelves, and curtains over the sink," says Kasell."
Tanner Fletcher integrated coordinated home decor into a spring 2026 runway, staging a skirted sofa and matched decorative objects alongside garments. The set included ruffled gingham lampshades, hand-painted candles in vintage pewter, and embroidered coasters shaped like serving trays, alongside collaborative products such as a painted lace vase using Delft and Qinghua techniques and a gathered ruffle lampshade made with Light Stylist. Founders Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell began with accessories and carry an interiors-first approach that translates 1930s–40s domestic details into vintage fabrics, ruffles, and cottagecore silhouettes worn by notable performers.
