Patrons arriving for matinees witnessed theaters beginning to shut down and posted experiences on social media. Moviegoers reported staff handing out promotional posters, boxes loaded for removal, and removal of a photo tribute to longtime greeter Al Harris. Signs on doors thanked patrons and directed them to the chain's only remaining California theater in Glendale; a few East Coast locations remain open. The chain offers full-service dining, bartender-served cocktails, recliner seats, and QR-code ordering with server delivery. The theaters were acquired after the 2020 COVID shutdown by Brian Schultz, with Redlands reopening in July 2021; a Riverside makeover project was never completed.
