Luke Grimes on 'Eddington,' Comedy Acting, 'Yellowstone' Future
Briefly

Eddington is a comedic film set in a Southern town during the Covid-19 pandemic. Luke Grimes plays Guy, a bumbling police officer who becomes a campaign manager for Sheriff Joe Cross. He struggles with the chaos around him, depicted humorously as he dons riot gear. Grimes expresses that his character evolved into a more comic figure, showcasing vulnerability rather than hatred. After Eddington, Grimes will star in a spin-off series of Yellowstone, introducing new dynamics and settings, although maintaining connections to familiar characters.
He's both comically unprepared and unqualified for this moment in America much the opposite of what fans have been accustomed to seeing from Grimes as livestock officer Kayce Dutton in Yellowstone.
That was our way into it just a guy trying to figure it all out and failing miserably.
We're not shooting here in Montana, Grimes says. Everything else is going to feel like a different world.
Unlike Eddington's Officer Guy, something tells me Kayce will be ready for it.
