
"ASHBURN - After a 45-year hiatus, Jack in the Box has returned to Chicago. The San Diego-based fast food chain debuted a new location on the Southwest Side, marking its first spot inside city limits since exiting the area in 1980. Clark Street, replacing longtime Mediterranean restaurant Reza's and offering Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, patio seating, and multiple outposts. Jack in the Box returned to the city with an Ashburn location at 7807 S. Cicero Avenue, marking its first Chicago spot since 1980 after earlier suburban openings. Dat Donut opened a Lakeview shop at 947 W. Wellington Avenue featuring classic cake and glazed doughnuts, apple fritters, oversized Big Dat doughnuts, and sandwiches. Zazas Pizzeria will open a second Lincoln Park location at 1521 N. Fremont Street on November 7. Levain Bakery is expanding with a Lincoln Park shop, debuting Friday, November 7.
