"Jose Andres's World Central Kitchen is known for feeding people amid war, hurricanes, and other disasters. Beginning today, the DC-based group will take its mission closer to home to provide warm meals for furloughed federal employees on day 27 of the government shutdown. Free lunch from Lebanese Taverna and 2Fifty BBQ, both members of the WCK Chef Corps, will be available at Canal Park in Navy Yard from 11 AM to 2 PM on Monday, October 27."
