L'Industrie is opening a new location in Little Italy
"The Little Italy location marks L'Industrie's second Manhattan shop, following its 2023 debut in the West Village, and joins the original Williamsburg storefront that opened in 2017. The project is a partnership between founder Massimo Laveglia, Nick Baglivo and former general manager Manuel Jimenez. Laveglia also told that the team is currently updating the space and aiming for a March opening."
"If you've ever wandered toward the West Village location on a weekend, you've probably already seen the line that snakes down the block, but L'Industrie's appeal is straightforward. Laveglia is a native of Tuscany, applying Italian technique to New York-style slices: thin-yet-structured crusts, natural fermentation and toppings that lean Italian but don't feel precious. On any given day, the menu includes classics like margherita and pepperoni, as well as cult favorites like the burrata slice. Prices stay squarely in slice-shop territory, adding to the appeal."
L'Industrie Pizzeria will open a Little Italy location between Mulberry and Mott on the former Margherita site, next to Ferrara Bakery & Cafe at 197 Grand Street. The new shop will be the brand's second Manhattan location after the 2023 West Village opening and joins the original Williamsburg storefront from 2017. The project is run by founder Massimo Laveglia, Nick Baglivo and former general manager Manuel Jimenez, with renovations underway and a target March opening. Laveglia applies Tuscan technique to New York-style slices using natural fermentation, thin-yet-structured crusts and Italian-leaning toppings. The menu includes margherita, pepperoni and the burrata slice at slice-shop prices, drawing long lines.
