This law requires porn sites to verify users' ages, and Aylo has deemed it ineffective and privacy-invasive. The company's spokesperson confirmed this decision, emphasizing their intention to communicate directly with French citizens about the law. The French government, represented by ministers Aurore Bergé and Clara Chappaz, responded defensively, asserting the law's purpose to reduce minors' exposure to harmful content.
"I can confirm that Aylo has made the difficult decision to suspend access to its user-uploaded platforms (Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube) in France. We will be using our platforms to directly address the French public."
