The man faces organised theft and criminal conspiracy charges, has prior theft-related contacts with the judicial authorities, and is in pre-trial detention awaiting a hearing. Three others arrested at the same time were released without charge. The robbery used power tools and took around seven minutes, with jewellery estimated at about €88m stolen.
