LG's Lightweight Gram Pro 16 Laptop Still Needs Some Work
Briefly

The LG Gram Pro 2025 is a 16-inch laptop weighing 2.9 pounds and measuring just 15 mm thick. It features a 144Hz touchscreen with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. The design has improved significantly from its predecessor, now offering a 2-in-1 functionality. A stylus is included and charges magnetically. Performance enhancements have addressed previous stability issues, although battery life remains a weak point, and the keyboard layout is not optimal for touch typing.
Last year's LG Gram Pro 17 was a classic study in laptop compromise. Incredibly thin and light, it was a veritable marvel of engineering that weighed in at half the heft of a typical 17-inch notebook.
The new 16-inch version of the LG Gram Pro arrives, weighing 2.9 pounds, slightly heavier than the old Pro 17 but 3 millimeters thinner with a girth of just 15 mm.
The new system is designed as a 2-in-1, with a hinge that allows the LCD to fold flat against the back of the laptop so it can be used as a tablet.
Performance has greatly improved in the 2025 model, proving that LG is committed to iterating on its design to address past shortcomings.
