Steam Deck Mod Crams Handheld PC Into a Keyboard-Topped Bento Box - Yanko Design
Briefly

The Steam Deck, while not as modular as the Nintendo Switch, has gained popularity among modders for its Linux operating system and open hardware. Its dated hardware spurred innovations, particularly with the Bento Steam Deck mod, which reinterprets the device into a more versatile setup. Inspired by traditional Japanese bento boxes, this mod allows the Steam Deck to function like a compact PC. It features a Bluetooth keyboard interface and harmonizes with AR glasses to create an immersive display, although it does sacrifice the traditional handheld gaming experience.
Even though the Steam Deck does not have the same level of modularity as the Nintendo Switch, its Linux foundation and relatively open hardware have made it a favorite canvas for modders.
The Bento mod tackles limitations of the Steam Deck, offering a fresh perspective by converting it into a portable PC setup with a focus on keyboard use.
