Say 'Sul Sul!' to the Sims 4 and Bridgerton Collab
"Starting May 12, gamers will be able to add The Sims 4: Lady Bridgerton's Masquerade Ballroom kit and The Sims 4: Lady Bridgerton's Masquerade Ball Fashion kit to the game. Presumably, the former is a build kit (with items to decorate your Sims ton) and the later a CAS kit (a.k.a. Create a Sim with clothes, jewelry, and hairdos). If you get both, you also get "a special bundle for those who desire the complete experience, including a romantic gazebo, elegant piano and a most charming bassinet," per Netflix."
"Expect chandeliers and other ballroom accessories in the build kit and gowns, waistcoats, and masks (or masques if you're nasty) in the fashion kit. There will also be a limited-time in-game event with the chance to win more loot."
""The power of the Bridgerton fandom is that people truly see themselves in this world. That's what makes partnerships like The Sims so exciting," said Sandie Bailey, co-president and chief innovation and design officer at Shondaland. "Players can create exactly who they want to be and step into the Bridgerton universe as their most authentic selves.""
"The Sims and Bridgerton already have a lot in common. Both are famous for their covers of current pop songs (Katy Perry's "Lass Frooby Noop," you will always be famous), skew more diverse and more queer than the rest of their respective genres, and include deadly bees. And in both franchises, lineage is a big deal. Simmers who play the game generationally are a lot like Lady Bridgerton, lining up heirs and making them kiss/produce babies."
The Sims 4 will receive Lady Bridgerton’s Masquerade Ballroom and Masquerade Ball Fashion kits starting May 12. The ballroom kit provides build items to decorate Sims spaces, while the fashion kit offers Create-a-Sim content such as gowns, waistcoats, and masks. Purchasing both unlocks a special bundle that includes additional romantic and decorative items like a gazebo, an elegant piano, and a bassinet. A limited-time in-game event will offer opportunities to win extra loot. The collaboration connects Bridgerton’s fandom identity with The Sims’ player-driven self-expression, and both franchises share themes of pop-song covers, diversity, queer representation, and generational lineage.
