The German Defense Ministry is set to scrap plans to transition former military real estate to civilian use in response to the growing needs of Germany's expanding armed forces. Among the properties affected are 187 former Bundeswehr bases and 13 which are still in use, including the air base at Furstenfeldbruck near Munich and part of the former Berlin-Tegel Airport."
