Gilead Sciences is laying off 108 employees from its Redwood City offices, following a previous layoff of 104 workers. The layoffs will occur between June 30 and April 30, 2027, impacting positions in manufacturing, quality assurance, marketing/sales, and clinical development, including senior directors and vice presidents. Gilead also let go of 84 employees in Rockville, Maryland. The layoffs are part of the integration after acquiring Arcellx for approximately $7.8 billion, with a focus on executing plans for new therapies.
