Accepted students commonly confront financial aid, loans, majors, placement tests, class registration, housing, roommates, textbooks, meal plans, health insurance, public transportation and immunizations. Augsburg University admissions director Stacy Severson met with Guaman to explain financial-aid coverage, registration timing, outside scholarships and commuting options. Admissions offices are expanding roles nationwide to simplify admission and to serve as navigational guides through post-acceptance logistics. Traditional admissions work was often separated from new-student support, but declining enrollments and doubts about college returns are prompting admissions staff to engage in enrollment management and student onboarding.
