In the San Giuliano necropolis near Viterbo, archaeologists uncovered a sealed 7th century B.C. Etruscan chamber tomb containing four individuals on funerary beds. More than 100 grave goods were found, including ceramic vases, iron weapons, and bronze objects, with 74 ceramic vessels in pristine condition. The tomb is unique as it is the first of its kind excavated with modern techniques in this central Italian region, that will provide insights into Etruscan burial practices and beliefs. Further analysis will be conducted on the remains and artifacts.
