David Lee Roth began his tour at the California Mid-State Fair and paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, who died that same day. He reminisced about their friendship formed during a 1978 tour with Black Sabbath. Roth joked about his ignorance of the UK tour's 22 cities and shared a poignant reflection from a Buddhist monk regarding laughter in heaven. A humorous invitation to Osbourne to save him a seat in hell followed. Roth's tour will continue until September 14th, featuring his band members Al Estrada, Ryan Wheeler, Francisco Valentino, and Danny Wagner.
