A Colorado LGBTQ+ community centre on Colfax Avenue in Strasburg was vandalised when CCTV showed a man using a rock to try to smash windows. Several windows were damaged and have been boarded with plywood bearing messages such as "love is love" and "love is stronger than hate". The centre is one of the state's largest LGBTQ+ organisations. Parasol Patrol reported three other queer businesses were attacked the same weekend and said the acts aimed to intimidate and silence the community. Police are appealing for information and have not confirmed links between incidents. Community leaders described the emotional toll as greater than the physical damage and warned of an escalation designed to push LGBTQIA+ people and youth-serving organisations into fear and isolation.
